Échographie de grossesse (obstétricale)

Obstetric ultrasound monitors your pregnancy. Performed by our midwife sonographers, it dates the pregnancy, monitors the baby's development and screens for possible anomalies. Three ultrasounds are recommended: dating (T1), morphological (T2) and growth (T3).

When is this exam needed?

  • Dating ultrasound (11-13 weeks)
  • Morphological ultrasound (22-24 weeks)
  • Growth ultrasound (32 weeks)
  • Monitoring fetal wellbeing
  • Additional checks

How it works

Performed abdominally (or transvaginally early in pregnancy), the ultrasound is painless and safe for the baby. It takes 20 to 30 minutes. A report and images are given to you.

Preparation

No special preparation. Bring your previous ultrasounds and your pregnancy file. For early ultrasounds, a full bladder may be requested.
